MyMemories March 2021 Blog Train

Hi, and welcome to my stop on the March MyMemories blog train! In honor of Easter being less than 3 weeks away, I have chosen that theme for my mini. Please bear with me for a few moments while I briefly share with you some very good news.

In case you don't already know this, almost 2,000 years ago Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, laid down His life for us to pay the penalty for OUR sins. (A sin is anything we do that is contrary to God's instructions to us, which instructions can be summarized as loving Him first and loving our neighbor as ourselves - Matthew 22:37-40, Romans 13:8-14.) Ironically, I never doubted that Jesus was the Son of God who died on a cross and rose from the dead on the third day. But I didn't connect it to myself - I thought that evil men did that awful thing, and I felt sorry for Him. I didn't realize that He suffered willingly, even for me. (John 10:17-18)

Before I was saved (from bearing the penalty for my sins myself, i.e. before I believed on Jesus for salvation), I used to think that being part of the Christian community was nice enough for other people, but not me. I didn't feel included, nor even the need to be. But that was sad - God loves everyone (John 3:16-18), and we all need to be right with Him before our time comes. (2 Corinthians 5:17-6:2) If you haven't placed your faith and trust in Jesus yet, I would encourage you not to put it off another day. It's really THE most important thing.

Just one more thought: For those searching for the meaning of life, we can readily find it in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14:  The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. For God will bring every deed into judgment, with every secret thing, whether good or evil. See above and also John 4:23-24, John 13:34-35 and 2 Corinthians 3:6 for more about the commandments we believers are to obey this side of the resurrection - the New Covenant - Hebrews 8:13, 12:22-24, Romans 7:6). Also see 1 Corinthians 5:10, 14-15 and Hebrews 4:12-13. And we know that those who are IN Christ Jesus will not be condemned for their sins - He has already paid the penalty for them. (Romans 8:1) That's very good news indeed!

Now, shall we take a look at this month's gift? It includes 4 papers, a floral wreath, a cross with lamb, a flower basket and a brush accent. (The elements are all actually quite large, so they are not shown to scale.)
